The so-called ‘Working Group’ in Slovakia, organised by among others Gisi Fleischmann, received reports in October 1942 from couriers travelling between Bratislava and ghettos in the Lublin district which still accommodated surviving Slovak Jewish deportees, that Slovak Jews had been evacuated “to the other side of the Bug”.
